Hey!

I just finished my second book!!

It took me awhile to realize I was done. I stared at the last sentence for a good minute. I'm off to type "The End."

FRIENDS WITH DEATH, 55,579 words @ 1:22AM.

Congratulations! I'm struggling through my first one at the moment, stuck around the 37,000 word mark... Is this your first draft, or have you finished finished?

Awesome job. I second Claire's question. Is this a rough or can we expect to see it in the hands of an agent and publisher soon? Inquiring minds want to know :)

Congrats! I just finished the first draft of my second novel, too! Now...time for the edits. Good luck!

Hi Claire! Thank you so much!

Ah, 30k. I tend to get stuck around there as well. I got through it by literally closing my eyes and free-writing. Whatever thought or dialogue or scene popped in my head, I wrote it down - good or bad. Hopefully, that'll get you through this sluggish patch and you'll that ONE PERFECT SENTENCE (writer candy) that will push you forward. (Good luck!)

This is just my first draft. I usually edit as I go along, but I know my last three chapters definitely need a re-write. Won't be querying till end of month or April, probably.

Hi Eric! Thank you for the kind words!

This is just my first draft - still rough around the edges.

I won a crit with a fantastic agent last year and she's already seen some of it. She's requested the full, but I'm not going to send it out till it's better than perfect!

I hope your writing is going well! :-)
