This is how I'd rank the sparkly in wine-country:
1. Domaine Carneros
2. Gloria Ferrer
3. Chandon
Since it was my birthday, we decided that a final stop at Gloria Ferrer would be the perfect way to end the day! And it totally was! We had to really race to get there though, and barely made it. They had already stopped serving, but when we bursted through the doors, the nice lady manning the cash register gave us a small smile and then nodded and gave the green light to the young man-who-was-about-to-apologize-and-turn-us-away. We were thrilled!
The four of us shared a glass of each: the royal, blanc de blanc, carneros, and the rose. The rose and the royal were the favorites - it was approx. $10 a glass. We left with 5 bottles. That should say something!
